Scope
The special session entitled Intelligent Search and Discovery in the Future Internet (ISDFI 2025) is a forum that will share ideas, projects, researches results, models, experiences, applications etc. associated with Next Generation Internet Discovery and Search. The session will be held in Lille (France) as the part of The 22nd International Symposium Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence 2025.
Topics
Recent advancements in the domain of Search and Discovery have opened new opportunities to leverage data-driven technologies for various real-life applications. Researchers and practitioners are increasingly focusing on challenges such as contextual search, multimodal interactions, and ethical considerations to create intelligent, inclusive, and energy-efficient solutions that will change the way we search for information on the internet. To find, represent and make-sense of resources in a transparent and trustworhty way is key for the future internet. This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for discussing state-of-the-art methods, novel approaches, and interdisciplinary applications that align with the values of privacy, sustainability, and inclusivity central to the Next Generation Internet (NGI) vision.
We invite submissions addressing the following topics, but not limited to:
- Emerging Methods in Search and Retrieval
- Semantic Analysis and Dynamic Knowledge Integration
- Social Computing and Collaborative Learning
- Novel methodologies for accessing and interpreting IoT data streams, including geospatial and temporal patterns
- Knowledge graphs, AI-Based Taxonomies and Network Analysis
- Addressing Gaps in Large Language Models
- AI Detection Tools in Cultural Products
- Privacy-Preserving Technologies
Contributions containing of both: the theoretical and practical results obtained in this area are welcome.
